A multi-level Woolworths centre for Sydney’s south-west growth corridor
Austral Plaza is a $65 million neighbourhood retail centre being delivered by Fabcot, the property arm of the Woolworths Group, in Austral. The suburb sits about 14 kilometres from the new Western Sydney International Airport and is one of the fastest-growing residential catchments in greater Sydney.
The centre is a three-level format — a lower-ground tenancy floor, ground-level retail anchored by a 3,800 square metre Woolworths, and rooftop office suites for allied health and professional services. Mainbrace Constructions is delivering the project under contract to Fabcot.
What Lotos is delivering
Lotos Concretors delivered the full structural concrete package for the new Woolworths development at Austral, working alongside a trusted builder from substructure through to roof level. The scope spanned retaining walls, strip and pad footings, pile caps, a lift pit and on-site detention tank, ground floor and upper floor slabs, columns, walls, stairs, and external pavements — placing more than 4,000m³ of concrete and fixing close to 300 tonnes of reinforcement across the project.
