Concrete you can taxi a jet across
Aircraft tyres deliver high point loads at speed, ground-equipment tracks across the same surface every day, and any joint or step that exceeds tolerance becomes a maintenance hazard.
Lotos delivered the hangar slab, footings and the apron pavement for this private aviation client to the surface tolerances and joint detailing those operations require. The completed apron now hosts the client’s jet alongside light fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, with smooth tug paths between the hangar door and the taxiway.
Why this kind of work suits Lotos
The work that goes into a high-quality aviation pavement — large continuous pours, controlled finishing, joint design that respects load paths, and a quality regime that catches off-tolerance work before the curing cycle ends — is the same work we do every day on tier-1 industrial floors. It just has a different end user.
The hangar carries a rooftop solar PV array; the apron will carry whatever the client wants to taxi onto it for the next few decades.
