A flagship of Ampol’s national EV transition
The M4 Motorway at Eastern Creek carries more than 300,000 vehicles a day. The two new Ampol Foodary service centres on either side of the carriageway are now Ampol’s flagship example of what its EV-ready Foodary format looks like at full scale — and the largest pavement project Lotos has delivered for Mainbrace Constructions.
Ampol owns and operates both centres, which were redeveloped under a long staged build program with the existing service stations remaining operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout construction.
What Lotos delivered
The Lotos scope covered every square metre of vehicle pavement and structural concrete on the project: 35,000 square metres of pavement and over 15,000 cubic metres of concrete, all completed ahead of schedule.
That program had to be sequenced around live trade. Trucks needed to keep refuelling, customers needed to keep using the bathrooms, and Hungry Jack’s never closed. We staged the pours, the cure windows and the access road switchovers around the operational reality, and we hit every handover.
We delivered the work on a single coordinated program — earthworks, formwork, reinforcement, supply, placement, screeding, finishing — all under one Lotos contract.
